Canadian rap phenomenon NAV hits the road for his Never Sleep Tour where he’s preforming hit songs from all 7 of his albums. Sharing the stage with him is fellow Canadian artist RealestK as well as Atlantas very own SoFaygo. All three artists had the crowd feeling fantastic in their own unique ways.
RealestK opened up the Houston Tx, show last night at Bayou Music Center, you may have heard some of his songs go viral on TikTok but that definitely didn’t hinder his performance or effect the effortless way he kept the crowd singing every note. If you didn’t know who he was, you definitely knew at least two of his songs such as WFM and Toxic. He’s definitely an R&B artist people should be watching out for because he’s here to stay.
Following up RealestK we had SoFaygo come out to give an electrifying performance that genuinely excited the crowd as a whole. Performing songs like Shut Up!, Blitz V2, and Knock Knock, SoFaygo had the every single person standing there screaming every word they knew to every song they knew. He definitely had the best fam interaction, bringing a fan on stage with him to sing and enjoy his music alongside him. With just a 30 minute performance he had everyone scrambling for water to hydrate themselves from all raging.
Finally our headliner for the night Canadas very own NAV, although he had everyone waiting for roughly 35 to 40 minutes between his set and the last one to come out on stage, the moment he jumped out front and center the crowd felt alive and ready to sing their hearts out. At a smaller venue like Bayou Music Center, NAV didn’t need to go crazy in order to keep them in it. He kept the crowd on their toes with some throwbacks for his day one fans like TTD and Good For It. The crowd was extremely familiar with these tracks and it was actually fun to hear them live. At one point he removed his signature sunglasses to give us a better look at his face (and probably to make it easier to wipe the sweat from his eyes). NAV’s performance at the Bayou Music Center was solid and entertaining. It was enjoyable to see NAV hook the crowd and look comfortable on stage. He had the crowd jumping throughout his set with some of his featured hits like Baguettes in the Face and Wanted you. NAV gave the sort of performance to give you that “Oh wow, I forgot he made this song!” moment, but then make you happy you remembered again.
