Smart Financial Center presenta a Jay Wheeler para su gira mundial "Emociones". El artista ganador de varios premios Grammy originalmente tenía una parada en Houston en enero de 2022, pero debido a circunstancias imprevistas, la fecha cambió. Being bullied as a child, Jay started his music career early on by treating it as a haven and distraction from the world. The introduction of the concert emphasizes his mother's influence and support for him to continue his dream. At age 16, the Puerto Rican artist released his first single, making his presence known by performing at local clubs. Early in his career, many collaborations began with artists such as Myke Towers, Farruko, Sech, Darell, and Nicky Jam.
The range of the singer/songwriter presents itself throughout the night, allowing the loyal fanbase to resonate with the lyrics in the intimate setting. "Emociones'" represents the motions of relationships, the highs, lows, cries, laughter, and for some, starting over.
Toward the end of the night, the Latin artist introduced his wife, Zhamira Zambrano, with a duo. "I don't do this to show off," Wheeler says, "I do this because I love this and because I love y'all." Making it known that without the continued support, his spot in the Latin Billboard would not be there.
Houston ended the night with the song that changed his career, "La Curiosidad" for one last sing-along moment.
